As long s we live on earth,
But faith will overcome
And we shall see its worth.

When doubts follow you,
Just get on your knees and pray,
Confess your doubts to God
And He will help you today.

Remember the devil loves our doubts,
He has put them there,
But faith will win over,
The doubts that we share.

Jesus over came temptation to doubt
And now has victory+
Our faith will surely win...
The same for you and me!

The adulterer will confess,
"It is My love that makes you worthy,
So make it your quest!"

last month on my 80th birthday, my kids took me back to
to LA to see the Cleopatra Exhibit. I have never lost my
childish wonder of discovering new things!

My 80th birthday. The problem of growing older could be solved,
but I'd rather manage it!

IF A PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVABLE
If a problem is not solvable,
You have to learn to manage it;
God has given you the tools,
The common sense and wit.

If a problem is not solvable,
Give it to God in prayer,
But do not continue to worry with it,
You must leave it in His care.

If a problem is not solvable,
A relationship has gone wrong,
Perhaps God is telling you,
That you must move along.

If a problem is not solvable,
Manage it you must,
Just put your faith in God
And walk with Him in trust!

I found the following poem among my things, I'm not sure when
it was written. I'm sure it was written in honor of Joann Lawyer.
Joann taught Sunday School for years at Sunny Hills. She was
both Janet and Julie's Sunday School teacher. She also taught
kindergarten in the Fullerton school system. This picture was taken
in 1983, when a group of us from Sunny Hills toured Israel. Joann
is standing next to the old gentleman. That is Ella Lomax on the left.
Joann and I were room-mates on that trip.

A PROVERB OF A FAITHFUL TEACHER
A faithful teacher of twos and threes
Who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies,
We are of kindred mind.

She is always patient,
Her love always sharing,
In songs, laughter and hugs,
With a whole lot of caring.

She vigorously works
To bring something new
To her bulletin boards
And her classroom too.

She makes Bible characters
All come alive....
And greets each little child
As they arrive.

She generously shares,
Her knowledge with others,
Always encouraging
Her sisters and brothers.

A life spent like this,
How can you measure?
The influence of good,
What a great treasure.

Joann, your reward is in heaven,
Where there just might be
A finger-painted crown,
Waiting for thee.
