Welcome to my Garden!
Day 4
There is some controversy over whether the Lord's Supper
took place day 4 or day 5 I'm placing it at day 4, because I have
another poem for tomorrow. Jesus desired to eat the Passover
meal with His disciples and just before He ate, He taught them
another object lesson. He washed their feet, a Lesson in humility
He even washed the feet of Judas, a lesson in forgiveness,
BETRAYAL
Betrayal is heart breaking
Especially, if one you love and care
Has proven to be unworthy,
It seems so hard to bear.
You may feel the world is against you,
That you have nowhere to turn,
Your friendship has been rejected
And your love has been spurned.
Jesus must have had these feelings,
When one of His very own
Sold Him for thirty silver pieces,
He must have felt so all alone.
He did not seem to be angry,
Only sad, but He knew why,
His betrayal had been predicted
And He knew He had to die.
Judas felt remorseful,
He took his life that day.
A lesson to be faithful
And never a friend betray!
