THE FRIENDSHIP BENCH

The friendship bench
A Zimbabwe tradition.
A place to go
When on a mission.

The friendship bench
A place to sit with a friend
To talk over your sorrows
To begin again.

The friendship bench
A place for when troubles call
A place you can go
And not be judged at all.

A friendship bench
Where you find others to care
And listen to you
And to meet God in prayer.

A friendship bench
America has them too
And we call them this name
Our local church pew.
