Today's poem was bit hard to write, as it hit too close to home!
MAKING EXCUSES
Making excuses
Is a habit you see
I don't want you
To put the blame on "me."
Making excuses,
"It's just a small sin."
And soon I'm knee-deep
In the mire I'm in.
Making excuses
Is a form of lie
I want my own way
And no questions why.
Making excuses
I now clearly see
I must look to God
And His grace to me.
