At most we spend two to five hours as a church, gathered together in
a church building.  But that is not near enough "training for life. If we
only ate once or twice a week, we would be weak and hungry, We
can't leave God on a church pew either and be in "training for life."

This is my dad, Clyde McCoy and his oldest great-grandson, Rich Walker. Today is dad's
birthday. He would have been 105. He loved music and four-part harmony gospel singing.
In fact I played a tape at his funeral, where he sang all four parts. Dad had many struggles,
he had Parkinson's, macular degeneration and cancer of the bladder.


GOD IS WITH US IN OUR STRUGGLES

God is with us in our struggles
When there seems no way out.
God is with us in our struggles
Even when we have fear and doubt.

God is with us in our struggles
When the nights seem very long.
God is with us in our struggles
When everything seems wrong.

He's with each and every step.
