Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
This is the Sea  of Galilee where Jesus preached the
"Sermon on the Mount" And told so many parables.
One was about a treasure: "The kingdom of heaven is like a
treasure hidden in a field. When the man found it , he hid it
again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought
the field."  Matthew 13:44

A TREASURE TO BE SHARED

A treasure to be shared
Time, for family and friends.
A treasure to be shared
Hope that never ends.

A treasure to be shared
God's promise of love.
A treasure to be shared
Blessings from above.

A treasure to be shared
The power of prayer.
A treasure to be shared
Show others you care.

A treasure to be shared
Is forgiveness, you see.
A treasure to be shared
Jesus died for you and me!

Welcome to my Garden!

FINDING LIFE

Finding life...
When you live it in Christ
Finding life...
Forget all the strife,

Finding life...
When we forget to complain.
Finding life...
Letting God reign.

Finding life...
Self-pity will cease.
Finding life...
In pray fears you release.

Finding life...
At the start of the day.
Finding life...
The thankful way.

Finding life...
With a new birth.
Finding life...
Can be heaven on earth.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden:
This picture was taken when I was heart whole
and then when I least expected, it I fell in love.

IT HAPPENS WHEN WE LEAST EXPECT IT

It happens when we least expect it
Falling in love.
It happens when we least expect it
Blessing from above.

It happens when we least expect it
A bundle of joy.
It happens when you least expect it
A little girl or a little boy.

It happens when you lest expect it
They grow up and move away.
It happens when we lest expect it
We find we're old one day.

I happen when we least expect it
Through this world we can no longer roam.
It happens when we least expect it
God calls us home!

THANKFUL LIVING

Thankful living...
Should be with you each day.
Thankful living...
Should be your normal way.

Thankful living
Will chase away blues.
Thankful living
Your right to choose.

Thankful living
A happy traveler you'll be.
Thankful living

Thankful living

Welcome to my Garden:

LAY DOWN YOUR BURDENS

Lay down your burdens
That is not easy to do.
Lay down your burdens
They're too heavy for you.

Lay down your burdens
You carry them in vain.
Lay down your burdens
With all the worry and pain.

Lay down your burdens
Meet God in prayer.
Lay down your burdens
It is He with the power.

Lay down your burdens
All stress and each loss.
Lay down your burdens
At the foot of the cross!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
Today's poem is not about getting gifts, but giving gifts to God
What did you give God for Christmas this year?

THE BEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE GOD.

The best gift we can give God
Talk to Him every day.
The best gift we can give God
Learn of His will and His way.

The best gift we can give God
Sharing with one another.
The best gift we can give God
Support each sister and brother

The best gift we can give God
Our fears to Him release.
The best gift we can give God
Is to know His wonderful peace.

The best gift we can give God
Trust Him in every way.
The best gift we can give God
Is to LOVE Him today!

Welcome to my Garden:
I miss small children and their anticipation of Santa and what's under
the Christmas tree.

ANTICIPATION

Anticipation...
Of the coming event.
Anticipation...
Of a day well spent.

Anticipation...
Of gifts under the tree.
Anticipation...
Of the coming glee.

Anticipation...
Of cards in the mail.
Anticipation...
That all will be well.

Anticipation...
Of gathered family, I love.
Anticipation...
Of blessings from above!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden:
God has certainly multiplied our love. And is still doing so.
Since this picture was made three years ago, He has added four
babies to our family and we're expecting another addition in the
spring!

MULTIPLIED LOVE

Multiplied love
In each friend you make.
Multiplied love
Is never a mistake.

Multiplied love
When you lift someone up.
Multiplied love
When you drink from love's cup.

Multiplied love
When you give of you time.
Multiplied love
With no reason or rhyme.

Multiplied love
With each child's demand.
Multiplied love
Your heart will expand.

Welcome to my Garden!
This is my little bisque bell that I have had for many years.
She reminds me of the heavenly host that praised Jesus' birth.
"A great company of heavenly host appeared with the angels, praising
God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men."
Luke 2:13-14

PRAISE JESUS

Praise Jesus
For His virgin birth.
Praise Jesus
For His first Christmas on earth.

Praise Jesus
For He still lives.
Praise Jesus
For comfort He gives.

Praise Jesus
For His sinless life.
Praise Jesus
For His sacrifice.

Praise Jesus
For all He gave.
Praise Jesus
For His victory over the grave.

Welcome to my Garden:

Money cannot buy Salvation. That was bought and paid for by
the blood of Jesus on the cross.

THE MONEY

The money
Is in short supply for some.
The money
Will buy temporary fun.

The money
To a few, an important thing
The money
Peace it will not bring.

The money
On it you can't depend.
The money,
Will not buy a friend.

The money
Will not buy happiness alone.
The money

When I was this age mom lost me in a department store, one

REMEMBER WHEN

Remember when,
There are more years to remember.
Remember when,
As you approach life's December,

Remember when,
You've had some loss.
Remember when,
You've had a heavy cross.

Remember when,
We say through the years.
Remember when,
Will bring a few tears.

Remember when.
Perhaps we should not say
Remember when,
May spoil our today!

I love this picture. This soldier may have children of her own
back home, yet she is far from home, comforting a child in a

Christmas away from home is an "unseen hero" in my book!

UNSEEN HEROES

Unseen heroes
You meet then every day
Ordinary people
Going about their way.

Unseen heroes
Care-givers give so much
Carrying a heavy burden
They have a special touch.

Unseen heroes
Widows all alone
Living through their memories
Of a full house and home.

Unseen heroes
Those serving our country far away
Sacrificing their happiness
To keep us safe today!

God is greater than anything that can happen to us
Whatever that may be

God is greater than anything that can happen to us
He is greater than our pain
He has promised to be with us
And He has made that plain.

God is greater than anything than can happen to us
Our disappointments and each shattered dream

of a heart full of bitterness toward those who were once

BETTER BY FAR
Better by far...

With bitterness behind
And blessings from above.

Better by far...
A relationship that's good
One whose friends with you
Have life's troubles withstood.

Better by far...

Better by far...

For whom Jesus would die?

What do you see
In the moment of loss?
Do you see Jesus
As He hung on the cross?

Freda's Garden

Welcome to my Garden.
This is sunset over the bay in Honolulu. We were on a dinner cruise.
You can see three sailing boats in the distance. It was not hard to
see signs of the Creator's hand in Hawaii.

SIGNS OF OUR CREATOR

Signs of our Creator
Are with us all the time.
Beautiful sunrise and sunsets
That are so sublime.

Signs of our Creator
You see as the seasons change
With the winter passing
Comes the joy of spring.

Signs of our Creator
Birds upon the wing
Make their cheerful noise
With the songs they sing.

Signs of our Creator
The beauty of human birth
The wonder of creation
Is in all things upon the earth!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden.

A CLOSER WALK WITH GOD

A closer walk with God
Is what we need, you see.
A closer walk with God
With strengthen, you and me.

A closer walk with God
Though every hectic day.
A closer walk with God
Is the only way.

A closer walk with God
When things are going wrong.
A closer walk with God
When we lose our song.

A closer walk with God
When there's bumps in the road.
A closer walk with God
Will lighten our heavy load.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden.

HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HAND
We many not like what we're told,
But we can be sure Gods in control.
We may not always understand,
He's got the whole world in His hand.

We my feel we're gonna lose
And we can't do as we choose.
But let us do all we can,
He's got the whole world in His Hand.

We feel afraid to walk the street,
Some, even fear while they sleep.
We 're afraid of losing freedom in this land.
He's got the whole world in His hand.

We need to get on our knees and pray
And ask God to guide us every day.
All together, we must stand,
He's got the whole world in His hand!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden.
A butterfly loses its cocoon for beautiful wings.

LOSING TO FIND

Losing hatred
To find love.
Losing fear
For peace above.

Losing doubt
To find faith.
Losing sin
To find grace.

Losing friendships
That are bad for us.
Losing quarrels
To find trust.

Losing a bad attitude
To find cheer.
Losing uncertainty
For God is here.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

"For everyone born of God overcomes the world.
This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our
faith." 1 John 5:4

THE WAR IS OVER

The war is over...
The battle has just begun.
The war is over...
On the cross victory was won.

The war is over...
But devil is still on the loose.
The war is  over...
But not everyone will trust the truth.

The war is over...
The devil still wins women and men.
The war is over...
But the devil still seeks souls to win.

The war is over...
But Jesus is on the throne.
The war is over...
Jesus is coming to claim His own.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

THE BIBLE IS...

The Bible is the travel's map
To guide us each day.
It also is a compass
So we will not lose our way.

The Bible is a soldier's sword
As it guards the truth.
it also divides the Word
And gives us actual proof.

The Bible is a Christian's chart
We must read it each day.
It will make our pathway straight
As we kneel and pray.

The Bible is a fisherman's anchor
In the storms of life.
It will guide us through the seas, so rough
Ans keep us from all strife!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
In churches across America, you will find
"families of faith." This is what will "Make
America Great Again."

THE FAMILY OF FAITH

The family of faith
My not be by blood bound.
The family of faith
Is where love is found.

The family of faith
Will stand by each other.
The family of faith
Cares for each sister and brother.

The family of faith
Is patient and forgiving.
The family of faith
Know what is good living.

The family of faith
Will always be there.
The family of faith
Will be in continued prayer.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
This is an announcement that I got from my cousin's granddaughter
There is no greater joy than of a sweet baby.

SPREADING JOY

Spreading joy...
With a generous smile.
Spreading joy...
Going the extra mile.

Spreading joy...
In the way we care.
Spreading joy...
Others burdens help bear.

Spreading joy...
With forgiveness and grace.
Spreding joy...
Instead of hate.

Spreading joy...
With a lot of love.
Spreding joy...
Blessings from above!
