I love this picture. This soldier may have children of her own
back home, yet she is far from home, comforting a child in a
war-torn country. Every one in the military that is spending
Christmas away from home is an "unseen hero" in my book!

Unseen heroes
You meet then every day
Ordinary people
Going about their way.
Unseen heroes
Care-givers give so much
Carrying a heavy burden
They have a special touch.
Unseen heroes
Widows all alone
Living through their memories
Of a full house and home.
Unseen heroes
Those serving our country far away
Sacrificing their happiness
To keep us safe today!
