Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

AT THE CROSS
At the cross,
Our Savior died.
At the cross,
His mother cried.

At the cross,
Many scoffed.
At the cross,
Some souls were lost.

At the cross,
He suffered agony,
At the cross,
For you and me.

At the cross,
A victory won.
At the cross,
God gave His son.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

DOES JESUS CARE?
Does Jesus care,
For the tears that I shed?
Does Jesus care,
When I have fear and dread?

Does Jesus care,
When sorrow fills my heart?
Does Jesus care,
When with loved ones I part?

Does Jesus care,
When pain fills my night?
Does Jesus care,
When I'm too weak to fight?

Yes, He does care,
He hung on a cross on calvary,
To prove that He cares,
For you and for me!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

HE LIVES
He lives...
Though He died.
He lives...
And walks by your side.

He lives...
For evermore.
He lives...
Make Him your life's core.

He lives...
And wants to bless.
He lives...
Make Him your quest.

He lives...
The victor, is He.
He lives...
For you and me.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

IN GOD WE TRUST
In God we trust,
But it seems so few,
That still believe,
That those words are true.

In God we trust,
In His Holy name,
May it ever be,
May it always remain.

In God we trust,
Our motto should be,
May it ever be with us,
if we're to remain free.

In God we trust,
When all seems lost,
We must remember,
Christ's VICTORY at the cross!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

KINDNESS IS CONTAGIOUS
Kindness is contagious,
So, make sure it catches you.
Kindness is contagious,
Others will follow what you do.

Kindness is contagious,
Spread some good will.
Kindness is contagious,
Your heart, it will fill.

Kindness is contagious,
Start an epidemic now.
Kindness is contagious,
It will multiply somehow.

Kindness is contagious,
Just like a smile.
Kindness is contagious,
When you practice it awhile!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

FOLLOW JESUS
Follow Jesus,
All the way.
Follow Jesus,
Every day.

Follow Jesus,
Through valleys low.
Follow Jesus,
Wherever you go.

Follow Jesus,
He'll lead the way.
Follow Jesus,
And you'll never stray.

Follow Jesus,
To mountains high.
Follow Jesus,
Till you die!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
I was such a mischievous scamp, I think my mom despaired of me
ever amounting to anything! But God is so good, He rescued me!

GOD RESCUED ME
God rescued me,
From the death of sin.
God rescued me,
My heart, He lives within.

God rescued me,
From all fear and doubt.
God rescued me,
I'm not left out.

God rescued me,
From a shattered heart.
God rescued me,
Gave me a brand new start.

God rescued me,
At such a price.
God rescued me,
His Son, the sacrifice!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

JOY IN THE MORNING
Joy in the morning.
Joy at noonday fair.
Joy in the evening,
For you know your Savior's there.

Joy in the morning,
When the day is new.
Joy at sunrise,
With fields drenched with dew.

Joy in the morning,
Free from yesterday's mistakes.
Joy at the dawning,
Just as the day breaks.

Joy in the morning,
Meeting God as you arise.
Knowing that this new day,
Will hold some sweet surprise!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

GOD, OPEN MY EYES
God, open my eyes,
So that I may see.
God, open my eyes,
To all You've done for me.

God, open my eyes,
To see those in need.
God, open my eyes
Your voice, may I heed.

God, open my eyes,
When one falls by the way.
God, open my eyes,
To my blessings each day.

God, open my eyes,
To share others loss.
God, open my eyes,
To see "the old rugged cross!"

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

LIFE, DO IT RIGHT... YOU CAN'T DO IT AGAIN
Life, do it right... you can't do it again.
Life is not a commercial,
Make it count the first time,
There is no dress rehearsal.

Life, do it right... you can't do it again.
Leave clear footprints where you've been,
As you travel along life's highway,
You won't come this way again.

Life, do it right... you can't do it again.
There's no time travel, you see,
So do it right the first time,
Be all that you can be.

Life, do it right... you can't do it again.
Make good memories that will last,
And you will find that you,
Have made peace with your past.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my  Garden!
This is blooming at our neighbor's gate down the street.

GROW AND BLOOM
Grow and bloom,
Right where you are today.
Grow and bloom,
You're not here to stay.

Grow and bloom,
So that others will see God in you.
Grow and bloom,
In all you say and do.

Grow and bloom,
Give a hug and smile.
Grow and bloom,
God is with you each mile.

Grow and bloom,
There is just no other way.
Grow and bloom,
As you serve your God today.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
Today is Jim's 89 birthday! Where has that time gone?
He is my best friend and I'm so thankful for the years
God has given us together as the poem below indicates.

LOVE IS SWEETER AS THE YEARS GO BY
You put another candle
On your birthday cake.
Your steps are a bit slower,
That's part of fate.

You cannot do...
All the things you uses to do,
But remember...
That I still love you.

We don't have the busy life,
As of days in the past,
But we have each other,
And a love that will last.

We've had many joys,
We've had things to make us cry,
But I can still say...
"Love is sweeter as the years go by!"

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

ARE YOU READY?
Are you ready,
To tell His story,
How a Savor,
Came from Glory?

Tell how He lived,
And died for thee,
On a cross,
On calvary.

Tell how He came as a baby
And lived among men,
He grew to manhood
And was without sin?

Tell how He now lives in heaven
And will return, you see,
Tell how we'll rise to meet,
To live eternally!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my garden!

LOVING GOD
Loving God...
When life is tough.
Loving God...
It is enough.

Loving God...
Who loves you.
Loving God...
He will see you through.

Loving God...
Who is always there.
Loving God...
For His tender care.

Loving God...
Until the end.
Loving God...
Savior and friend!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my garden!
This is Jim and our granddaughter, Katie, on her
first birthday. She wasn't feeling very well that
day. It is hard to believe that she will be 17 next month.
God not only notes our tears, He takes note, when we're not
feeling well too!

GOD TAKES NOTE OF EACH TEARDROP
God takes note of each teardrop,
That falls from each eye.
He sees our sorrow,
It does not pass Him by.

God takes note of each teardrop,
They're not shed in vain.
He whispers, "into each life
Must fall some rain."

God takes note of each teardrop,
He has numbered each hair.
He whispers to us,
"I'll always be there."

God takes note of each teardrop,
When loved ones, we've lost.
He whispers, "I cried too ,
For my Son on the cross!"

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

GOD CAN MEND YOU
God can mend you,
Though broken you may be.
God can mend you,
The great Physician is He.

God can mend you,
To fit into His plan.
God can mend you,
To be all that you can.

God can mend you,
Give all the pieces to Him.
God can mend you
Let Him prune and trim.

God can mend you,
The great Potter is He.
Leave Him all the pieces,
And He will mend thee!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

COURAGE AND STRENGTH
Courage and strength,
I do need so.
Courage and strength,
To keep me on the go.

Courage and strength,
When the storms arrive.
Courage and strength,
To help me survive.

Courage and strength,
When the days are long,
Courage and strength,
So I may stay strong.

Courage and strength,
When I suffer loss.
Courage and strength,
Is Christ on a cross.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!
I pass these fruit trees in bloom on my walks. Our
lemon and orange trees are beginning to bloom too.

SPRING IS BLOOMING
Spring is blooming,
All over the place,
Nature is smiling,
Filled with God's grace.

Fruit trees are spreading,
A heavenly scent in the air,
Beautiful pink blossoms,
But of the bees be aware.

Spring is blooming,
The gardeners prepare,
The seeds and the plants,
Soon vegies are there.

Spring is blooming,
With new flowers each day,
A blessings from God,
Winter's gone away!

Welcome to my Garden!
Jim, doing his daily Bible reading with a magnifying glass.
He was not aware that I took this picture.

THE GOOD NEWS
The good news,
God loves you.
The Good news,
He loves me too.

The good news,
He died for our sin.
The good news,
He has cleansed us within.

The good news,
He lives evermore.
The good news,
Broken-lives, He'll restore.

The good news,
He has a plan.
The good news,
He's returning again!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

"I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Psalm 139:14

SKILLFULLY WROUGHT
Skillfully wrought,
Is our bodies, you see
Miraculously made
Are you and me.

Skillfully wrought,
By the Savior's hand, are we,
In the womb knit together,
So beautifully.

Skillfully wrought,
From our toes to our head,
Wonderfully made,
So the Psalmist hath said.

Skillfully wrought,
And we should take measure,
Never to destroy,
God's creation, His treasure!

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

"And if it is disagreeable in you sight to serve the Lord, choose
you this day whom you may serve; whether the gods which were
beyond the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you
are now living; but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24:15

A CHOICE
We can choose to love You Lord,
Or go our own way.
You have given us the freedom,
To make new choices everyday.

Like a loving Father,
If we choose the things that bring us harm,
We know, for you it's painful
And causes You alarm.

How very much You must suffer,
When Your children go astray,
When we make foolish choices,
As we do each day.

If You did not give us freedom,
To make our own choice,
There would be no reason up in heaven,
For Angels to rejoice.

You sent your only son,
From Your very throne,
To die upon a cross,
To proclaim us as Your own.

What an awful price
That You had to pay,
So we could have the freedom
To make a choice today.

Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden!

THE JOURNEY OF LIFE
There are stops and steps
In the journey of life,
The stops are there,
When the steps bring us strife.

The journey of life,
Brings us to mountain tops aglow
And we tread the dark valleys
That are so low.

The journey of life,
Is filled with joy and with pain
And into each life,
Must fall some rain.

The journey of life,
Is a balancing thing,
The successes and failures
That this life shall bring.

But keep trudging on.
For life is a journey, you see.
And at the end of the way,
Heaven is waiting for thee.
