Just be grateful for this day
And make memories that will last.

THIS OLD CLAY POT

This old clay pot
Is cracked and worn
And the outside
Is tattered and torn.

This old clay pot
Has seen better days
And has been used
In much better ways.

This old clay pot
Stills holds together
In sunshine or rain.
And in stormy weather.

This old clay pot
God fashioned the clay
He was the Potter
His will to convey.

This  old clay pot
Is still useful, you see
I know that to be true
For this old pot is me!

THE FRIENDSHIP BENCH

The friendship bench
A Zimbabwe tradition.
A place to go
When on a mission.

The friendship bench
A place to sit with a friend
To talk over your sorrows
To begin again.

The friendship bench
A place for when troubles call
A place you can go
And not be judged at all.

A friendship bench
Where you find others to care
And listen to you
And to meet God in prayer.

A friendship bench
America has them too
And we call them this name
Our local church pew.

THIS BODY 'S NOT ME

I look in the mirror
What do I see?
Gray hair and wrinkles
I think, "That is not me!"

I looked at some pictures
Of a young girl so bold
And I thought to myself
But my soul is not old.

My steps are a bit slower
Sometimes I can't see
This body is aging
But this body's not me.

So I told this old body
"Fail you may be!"
But it does not matter
This body's not me!

When you are filled with pain

That good health you will regain.

Demonstrating Grace
Jesus forgave the thief on the cross.
And Jesus suffered and died
To save all the loss.

He loved when betrayed
And comforted those
Who were so afraid.

Demonstrating Grace
He arose from the grave
To live evermore
He is mighty to save.

He's returning again, you see
To meet us all in the air
To live with Him eternally!
