The golden rule
We try to keep,
But the devil's wiles
We surely meet.
The golden rule,
Is easy to say,
But it's very hard
To live that way.
The golden rule,
We forget, you see,
When we want to get even
With an enemy.
The golden rule,
Will bring us peace,
When we forgive,
Love brings release
