It is a lingering smell
With memories from the past.

Of newly opened flowers,
The fragrance lives on
For hours and hours.

Sweet fragrance
Of cookies with spice,
That fills the house
And is so heavenly nice.

Sweet fragrance
Of forgiveness of sin,
And the wonderful feeling
Of cleansing within.
