RELIGION FOR THE COMMON MAN
Religion for the common man
Is why Jesus came to earth,
Why He left His home in heaven
For a lowly, humble birth.
He came not to the Pharisees
Or to the houses grand,
He followed not the Sadducees,
But dwelled among the common man.
He had no use for palaces
Or for wealth of fame;
He touched the untouchable,
This is way He came.
He held no high office,
He had no impressive degree
And it was to the common man,
He said, "come follow Me"
