This is Ann Berryhill and Birdie Ellis at a former ladies retreat.
I always loved those retreats and the wise words spoken there.
This poem was also written in the waiting room of the hospital
Wednesday.

A WORD APTLY SPOKEN
A word aptly spoken...
Is worth more than gold.
A word aptly spoken...
A story retold.
A word aptly spoken...
To someone in distress.
A word aptly spoken...
Can bring peace and rest.
A word aptly spoken...
Can mend a broken heart.
A word aptly spoken...
Will wisdom impart.
A word aptly spoken...
Can eliminate strife.
A word aptly spoken...
May even save a life!
