SELF-PITY
Have a pity-party
If you really must
But quickly get back on track
In Me put your trust.
If you let self-pity linger
Soon it will reign supreme
And than you will find
It has become your king.
So, today wear a smile
Put self-pity on the run
I am the light
I want to be your sun.
If you guard your thoughts
And concentrate on Me
You will soon find
Peace and joy for thee.
