Today's poem was taken from today's (Beside The Still Water)
You follow a pattern when you sew a dress or knit a sweater or crochet
overalls for a toy bear. We need to follow a pattern for our lives as well
Our lives need to be patterned after Christ!
THE PATTERN
The pattern you are wearing
Does it fit just right?
Is it most comfortable
To you both day and night?
The pattern may have been passed
From one generation to another
But does it include
Loving every sister and every brother?
Is the pattern from the Bible
Does it compare to Christ's life?
Or is it filled with doubt
And much fear and strife?
O God, may our lives be patterned
After Your Holy Word and You
Teach us to search for the original
And to love our neighbor too!
