Along the footpath
Of life, you'll see...
Many weary travelers,
Some, just like you and me.
They carry heavy a load
That is hard to bear;
They are looking for someone
For whom they want to care.
Along the footpath
Won't you be that hand,
That reaches down in comfort,
Let the weary know you understand.
Along the footpath
Do not fail to look around,
For the straggling souls,
That want to be found.
Along the footpath
As it leads home, you see,
There must be some others,
That have followed thee!
