Welcome to my Garden:
SEEKING A SIGN
Are you seeking a sign
From God today,
To tell you just what
Is His will and His way?
Are you seeking a sign,
For each step you take?
Are you living in doubt,
For the decisions you make?
God has given you a sign,
At a very High cost.
The sign He has given,
His Son on the cross.
And He has given a map
To follow each day.
His Word is that map,
For finding our way!

Freda's Garden:
Welcome to my Garden!
"And they sang a new song" Revelation 5:9
A NEW SONG
God will give you a new song
In your heart today.
A new song of triumph.
As you travel on life's way.
A new song of love,
For those, God has given you.
A new song of hope,
In all you say and do.
A new song of faith,
When trails become grim.
A new song of patience,
While you wait for Him.
A new song of endurance,
When you lose someone.
A new song of victory,
For the battles you have won!

Freda's Garden:
Welcome to my Garden!
Read Psalm 103
NO RECORD OF SIN
No record of sin,
How can that be?
For such a great sinner,
That would be me.
No record of sin,
Even the blackest of black?
Can I really believe He forgives
And never looks back?
No record of sin?
He has carried them away.
As far as the east from the west,
He has removed them today.
No record of sin,
All that ugly dross?
It has all been nailed
To the old rugged cross.
And as far as the heavens
Are from the earth,
His love has truly shown
We are of great worth!

Freda's Garden:
Welcome to my Garden!
Cactus for most of the year are just prickly plants
and then one day there glorious blooms pop up and
delight you with their beauty... blessings in disguise!
BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE
Blessings in disguise,
Sometimes comes our way;
Things we think disastrous,
Turn out to bless our day.
Blessings in disguise,
A disappointment, we think we see,
Often is God's leading,
For He cares for you and me.
Blessings in disguise,
An illness with some pain,
Will help us to slow down a bit
And much wisdom, we shall gain.
Blessings in disguise,
Blunders and delays,
Are just steeping stones
That help us in so many ways!

Welcome to my Garden!
I bought this little bunny as Bisqueware and painted and fired it.
Before it was glazed and fired, it was very fragile!
REFINED AND TESTED
Refined and tested
In the furnace of sorrow,
But God will be there
For your every tomorrow.
Refined and tested
In times of doubt,
Don't be discourage
And leave the Saviour out.
Refined and tested
When you've been betrayed,
Just hold God's hand
When you're afraid.
Refined and tested
And when you fail the test
That's when God's grace
Is at its very best!

We always love another chance to spend time with family. This
picture was made on one of our visits to Janet.
Today is our grandson Russell's birthday. He is in the white tee shirt.
Happy Birthday Russell!
ANOTHER CHANCE
Another chance
Each new day
To know Your will
And to know Your way.
Another chance
To love and forgive
To show the world
For You, I live.
Another chance
To spend time with Thee
And with loved ones,
You have given me.
Another chance
To tell the world, you see
That Jesus lived
And died for me!

Welcome to my Garden!
The heart picture behind me was painted by my friend, Anita Poland.
I served as leader of ladies ministry for a couple of years and they
presented it to me. It still hangs on my living-room wall.
LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART
Listen with your heart
To a loved one's plea.
Listen with your heart,
When you get on bended knee.
Listen with your heart
To a friend's troubled soul.
Listen with your heart,
To the very young and very old.
Listen with your heart,
To those who've suffered loss.
Listen with your heart
To the story of the cross.
Listen with your heart,
When God speaks to you.
Listen with your heart
In all you say and do!

My help comes from the Lord the Maker of heaven and earth."

I will lift my eyes
Unto His face,
Then I shall receive
His unending grace.
I will lift my eyes,
To do His will
And know that He

I will lift my eyes,

And I will pray,
For this great nation.
I will lift my eyes

You'll ever see

(The world) has the greatest need
(That He gave) the greatest act
(His only begotten Son) the greatest gift
And that is a fact.
(That whosoever) the greatest invitation
(Believes) the greatest decision
(In Him) the greatest Person
(Should not perish) the greatest provision
(But) the greatest difference
(Have) the greatest certainty

should not perish but have everlasting life."

And their darkened pathway.
Father, may I be the one
That helps those who may fall,
When others are in need,

Welcome to my Garden!
Today is our 60th Wedding Anniversary. Jim has been my best friend.
He has loved me, cherished me, encouraged me, took care of me and stood
by me... he has truly been "the wind beneath my wings."And I know our
love will endure beyond this life.
WHEN I STROLL ACROSS HEAVEN WITH YOU
I want to stroll across heaven with you,
Where Jesus is there in plain view.
There, I'll never be blue...
When I stroll across heaven with you.
I want to walk with you through the day
Meet old friends by the way
And say how-do-you-do?
When I stroll across heaven with you.
If you get there before me
And Jesus you see,
Tell Him... soon I'm coming too
I want to stroll across heaven with you.
Just like kids, we shall be
Happy, care-free...
We shall be good as new,
When I stroll across heaven with you!

Welcome to my Garden!
Our Granddaughter, Katie, when she was small.
THE THINGS I TREASURE
Father, you ask us not to lay up treasure
in this earthly land,
But I think the things I treasure,
are the things you understand.
I treasure little children
and the smile upon each face.
I treasure special loved ones
and their fond embrace.
I treasure a lovely sunset
on a sea of blue.
I treasure every sunrise,
for the day is completely new.
I treasure older people,
and the example they have been.
And all the treasured moments
spent with a special friend.
I treasure sight, to see the beauty
of this lovely land.
I treasure sound, to hear the music
of a lively band.
I treasure laughter, for it lifts
the burden of the day.
I treasure special memories,
that have come my way.
I treasure springtime showers
You send from up above.
I treasure your Son, Father,
for His unselfish love.
These are the things I treasure,
and I hold them up for You to view,
For I think the things I treasure,
are the ones You treasure too!

They were married 75 years before he passed away. They

A commitment...
To daily living,
May I be loving
And may I be forgiving.
A commitment...

To my marriage

A commitment...

To neighbors and friends
That depend on me.
A commitment...
To Christ as He calls each day,
May I submit,

Overcome my fears.

Live through overwhelming situations.

REAL LOVE
Real love begets real love
What you send multiplies, you see
And like a homing pigeon,
It will come back to thee.
Real love...
Is honest and sincere
It has no false motives,
Wants the best for those it holds dear.
Real love...
Is based on sacrifice.
It puts others first,
To serve is to suffice.
Real love...
Seeks happiness, but not its own,
It seeks others needs
And is banner over house and home!

Welcome to my Garden!
I have lived through all the seasons of life and am now
in the "winter" of my life... a flower of winter.
FLOWERS OF WINTER
When we're born,
We're flowers of spring;
So young and so free,
A beautiful thing.
And then, when we
Reach the summer of life,
We are like tall sunflowers
That bloom, ever so bright.
Then we reach
The fall of our days,
The rich autumn colors
And much slower ways.
But tis the flowers of winter
And the snow-drops each year
That reminds us of long life
And each sorrow and each tear.
As the seasons progress
From spring rains to winter snow
Our Lord is besides us
Wherever we may go!

Welcome to my Garden!
THE BOOK
The book...
That I've finished at the year's end
Cannot be rewritten,
For family or friend.
It can be reread
To refresh memory
And give inspiration,
Of the things that pleased me.
The book...
We control the pages that are filled,
But how many pages
Have yet to be revealed.
We have a brand new page
With the dawn of each day;
We can write sunlight and hope,
Or despair and dismay.
The Book...
I hope to write well each day
Yesterday's page
Is now out of the way.
Today, I started my page
By saying a prayer
And hope God will lead me
And always be there!

Welcome to my Garden!
Happy New Year!
MY PRAYER FOR 2014
We begin a New Year,
With a very clean slate.
I pray for more love
And a lot less hate.
I pray for...
The war to end,
That our enemies,
Will become our friend.
I pray for...
God to rule once more
And that He will be praised,
From shore to shore.
I pray for...
Cancer, they find a cure
And those we love,
Will be healthy all year.
I pray for...
"This Country Tis Of Thee"
And may God bless us
And keep us free!
