LITTLE BALLERINA
My little ballerina,
With tutu all in pink,
Will you grow up
To be a dancer... do you think?
Or will you be a soccer player,
Running, fast upon the field,
Kicking the ball right past the goalie,
As you make it yield.
Or will you be a well-known artist,
With brushes, paints and such,
Putting pictures down on canvas,
With a magic touch.
Now, my little ballerina,
Is on the threshold of womanhood,
She has so many choices
And that is very good.
Whatever she may choose,
Whatever she may be...
My little ballerina,
She will always be to me!
