Welcome to my Garden:
Summer is almost gone, so here is one more summer poem!
SUMMERTIME
Summertime is...
Ripe peaches in the orchard,
Sweet corn in the field,
Tomatoes in the garden,
Watermelon's bountiful yield.
Summer showers on distant hill,
A welcome to summer fruit and flowers,
Birds singing in the trees,
You can listen to for hours.
Fireflies at sunset,
A whopper-will's distant call,
Bees buzzing in the hives,
Making honey for the fall.
Yes, lazy days of summer,
When the heat is on the rise
And the days are long and peaceful,
You know that God's bounty has arrived!
