Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden:
Just one more poem about summer, before we welcome fall.

THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER
Summer's almost over.
One more beach trip in the plan.
New school clothes in the closet,
Cheering baseball heroes from the stand.

A BBQ in the offering,
Evening concerts in the park.
One more three-day holiday,
Before Autumn we embark.

Sun-burned nose, mosquito bites,
An extra pound or two,
Are  all part of every summer,
With the fun things that we do.

The last days of summer
Are met with no regret at all,
We're looking forward to Thanksgiving
And the cooler days of fall.
