Freda's Garden

Welcome to my Garden:

I'm still pushing Spring, but I'm afraid "Mother Nature"
is pushing back.
So many people say the reason they would not like to live in
Southern California is that there are no changing of the seasons.
I beg to differ with that! The changing is certainly there, it's
just not as dramatic!

SPRING COMES TO CALIFORNIA
Spring comes to California,
Though some may think it strange.
Spring comes to California,
The doves know when it's Spring,

Spring comes to California,
Though some may not think it's true.
The bud's of apricots and peaches,
Know just when to peek through.

Spring comes to California,
Though some may have some doubt,
The tulips know when it's Spring,
They know just when to pop out.

You don't need dramatic changes,
That ice and snow can bring,
"Mother Nature" wears a softer coat
For her California Spring.

Wild poppies and yellow mustard,
Paint the hills with such a fling,
That none are left in doubt,
Of a California Spring!
