Welcome to my Garden:
Today is the first day of March and the calendar says
that Spring is near, but Winter seems to be hanging in there:
Dorris Tune, a cousin of mine, lost her husband this past year.
Their daughter, Cyndy, said that her dad's favorite flower was
the daffodil and hers too. So, Cyndy this poem is in memory of
your dad and for you too!
DAFFODILS
In the spring, all nature sings,
From the valleys to the hills,
But none quite so loud,
As the yellow daffodils.
Daffodils, peek right through,
With the greatest show,
They poke their heads
Right through the snow.
It matters not...
The weather scene,
The daffodils know...
Just when it's Spring!
Daffodils bring hope
Of all things new,
That Spring...
Is once more in view.
Winter's past...
And Spring is near,
For the yellow daffodils
Are here!
