Every now and then...
An unexpected pleasure,
Like a visit from a friend.
A note, sent through the mail,
Just to say hello...
A phone call from long-distance
From someone that you know.
A trip to someplace, so lovely,
You think you're in paradise.
A gift from a loved one,
A special, small surprise.
Little things are what matters,
In the world of daily living,
A special serendipity...
Of unexpected giving!
