Freda's Garden:

Welcome to my Garden:
This is a picture of my Aunt Ethel and Uncle "Dock," Ray Pitts. They
celebrated 74 years of marriage the day before he died. They are both
gone now, but the legacy they left behind will be forever and that's
good NEWS!

GOOD NEWS~~BAD NEWS
Good news~~bad news...
The evening news on TV,
We see murders and other crimes,
But good news we seldom see.

They announce tornadoes, floods,
Hollywood break-ups, you see,
But never long lasting marriages,
Some more that a half a century.

We hear of abandoned babies,
Youths that are on drugs.
We don't see the excited new mothers,
Or the youths that every day, give help and hugs.

We do not hear of the prayers in the sick-room,
Or on the battle field,
But we hear of the protesters,
That march, storm and yell.

Would it not be wonderful
To have one station with these views,
That miracles happen every day,
And see kindness make the evening NEWS!
